Asian Brown Bear Expert Team Deputy chair

Yanlin works for wildlife research in Tibetan Plateau since 2003. He is familiar with the ecology, conservation and management of large mammals in this region, and well connected with local NGOs. His work focuses on assessment of distribution and abundance of large mammals, including brown bear, wolf, snow leopard, Tibetan wild ass and wild yak. He also actively involves in exercise of human-bear conflicts management in Qinghai Province. He affiliates with Qinghai Normal University since 2023, and is now based in Xining City. He is dedicated to refine science-based wildlife management for the Plateau.
