The Bear Specialist Group works both at the level of individual species, as well as on topics that affect many species. Specifically we have Expert Teams focussed on how captive bears can be useful to the conservation of wild bears, methods of addressing human-bear conflicts, and improving methods for monitoring bear populations, especially for bears in Asia.
